On Saturday, 23 November, Oxted & Limpsfield Music Society will be hosting pianist Alim Beisembayev, winner of the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition. He made his Proms debut in 2023: his performance of Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto was described as ‘the kind I thought we could only hear in our dreams’.
Alim will be performing music from Haydn, Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms in The Bawtree Hall at Hazelwood School, beginning at 19:30. Tickets are £30 (with free entry for those under 25) and are available on the door, or in advance from the society’s website.
