By Eric Fosdyke

The Bull Inn, a beloved community pub in Limpsfield, is set to host a vibrant exhibition as part of the annual Art In June event. From 6 to 22 June, five talented local artists will transform The Grain Store at The Bull Inn into a gallery, showcasing their diverse skills and unique perspectives.

Art In June is a celebrated annual event in Kent and Surrey that champions local artists. For three weeks every June, artists open their studios and exhibit their work in various venues, fostering a connection between creators and the community and providing art enthusiasts with the opportunity to discover new talent.

This year, The Bull Inn is proud to participate, offering a platform for these artists to share their creations with the public. The exhibition promises a diverse range of styles and mediums.

Ashley Louise is known for her versatility, working with everything from Chinese brush techniques to alcohol inks, fabrics, and acrylics. Her award-winning work has graced the walls of prestigious galleries, including the V&A.

Rose Bridgland Colbridge

Rose Bridgland Colbridge is a passionate colourist whose paintings explore a variety of styles, mediums, and sizes, all united by her love of colour.

Jessica Valerie

Jessica Valerie draws inspiration from Vogue and 1920s fashion, creating limited edition giclée art collections featuring elegant fashion and figurative illustrations that have been exhibited in major cities worldwide.

Lesley Hall

Lesley Hall is a multifaceted artist, working as a jeweller, botanical artist, and teacher, as well as creating personalized pet portraits and pursuing her passion for photography.

Anne McArdle

Finally, Anne McArdle creates colourful kiln-fired enamel decorations on bowls, dishes, 2D panels, and jewellery, drawing inspiration from the local countryside and coastline.

The exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity to support local talent and experience the richness of the area’s artistic community. What better place to do so than at The Bull Inn, a true community hub?
