By Pammy McNaughton, chair of trustees of Master Park
The trustees of Master Park are delighted to announce that on 30 October 2023 (100 years after the park was donated to the community by Mr Charles Hoskins Master) work will commence to demolish the 60-year-old existing building and clear the site.
This exciting and momentous step would not have been possible without the fantastic support from the local community, and the grants received from Your Fund Surrey, Oxted Parish Council and Tandridge District Council, plus donations and pledges from other organisations and local residents.
However, we are not quite there yet! We will be continuing our fundraising so we can add the finishing touches, but at least the funds are now here to get the new hub built.
The work will take around a year to complete and we hope to be open by October 2024. Until then, the large car park will be closed for construction, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The new park hub will be an incredible, multi-use building for the residents of Oxted and the district of Tandridge to use and enjoy… we can’t wait!
Please continue to donate via the Master Park website or through JustGiving.
All updates will be posted on our website.
