Our 24/25 season has started with a bang and we are currently sitting top of the league, with three wins under our belt.
Our first game of the season was against Guildford City away. The game ended 8-0 to us and with six different goal scorers (Leah Halpin, Kayleigh Stenning, Chloe Robertson, Becky Pickett-Bays, Kathryn Dudfield and Clare Dudfield), it was a great team win.
Our second game took us away again, this time to Milford & Whitley WFC. They are a new team to our league so we didn’t know much about them. After a few decisions not going our way and even dropping down to nine players at one point, we ended the game with a 4-2 win: some great goals coming from Kayleigh Stenning, Ella Simmons & Maria Hopgood-Haines. The team put in a great performance.
Our third and final game of September saw us face Guildford Saints, once more away. The game ended 13-1 to Oxted. Our goal scorers were Becky Bays (5), Kay Stenning (4), Alex Rusk (2), Chloe Robertson (1) and Ella Simmons (1).
Our next fixture is a home game on Sunday, 6 October against Cranleigh.
