Right at Home in Caterham have helped hundreds of people living with dementia by providing care and support in their own homes and giving them access to community activities.
How have we done this?
We recruit carers and team members who are patient, great communicators and have empathy. We are able to support each client with care tailored to their individual needs, whilst utilising our experiences and training.
We also provide dementia training, which has a strong focus on dementia care and includes Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends information sessions.
What is a Dementia Friend?
The Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative aimed at changing people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, talks and acts about the condition through learning, understanding and action.
We are running a free Dementia Friends information session on Saturday, 20 April in Caterham Valley and are looking for people to come along.
