Claudines Charity Bike Ride

Claudine cycled from Prattsbottom to Caterham. Claudine’s father used to work in Prattsbottom and the Cemetery where he was laid to rest is there. Caterham is where her friend lives and wanted the challenge as it turned out to be the toughest ride to date because of the hills. Claudine is an experienced cyclist and has been riding since 2009 and has done the famous London to Brighton ride.

On 6th September she did 60 miles to Caterham and for the whole September challenge she has done 300 miles!

She wanted to raise money for Cancer Research in honour of her father, who died of cancer in August. Wesley Smith. Her dad worked for British Rail and was a hero. He was one of South Eastern’s first black train drivers and had received bravery awards for good work he had done helping others throughout his career and in his personal life, but still remained humble. She wanted to raise money for cancer research in his honour in the same way he had helped others throughout his life, she wants to do the same. So far she has raised £400 but is hoping for £1,000 (just giving page sent to you) She is hoping the people of Caterham will donate and support a good cause, to give back to those in need.
