’Children Need Future’ Exhibition

Artist Priyanka Rana-Iandoli, in collaboration with friend and colleague Fiona Hoppe, is aiming to raise awareness of the global problem of plastic pollution with a community art installation.

Priyanka says: “’Children need Future’ is an underwater scene, with beautiful sea creatures, made from plastic waste. It was created with the help of local children and adults, and illustrates the hugely detrimental effects of our plastic usage on the environment, especially the devastation of the seas and oceans.”

Following support from MP Claire Coutinho and Cllr Catherine Sayer, the installation will be in the main atrium of The Church Walk Shopping Centre, Caterham, from Saturday 24th October. A flyer will be available in local shops and community spaces, explaining the impact that plastic is having on the planet, and giving advice on ways to avoid using it.
Priyanka will also be sharing ‘How To’ videos on her social media. Follow @thecraftycatartclub on Facebook to find out more.
