“The Salvation Army has worked in partnership with Caterham Hill Parish Council, The Westway, Chris Botton, Tandridge Voluntary Action (TVA), local churches and others to set up the Four Parishes Response Hub. The Hub does not replace the amazing families, good neighbours and friends who have stepped up to be there for many in isolation in their streets. The 4 Parishes Response is there for those with no circles of support locally, where your support network is limited or has stopped as they are now in isolation. We offer assistance with shopping (there are payment arrangements available if you no longer have cash), collecting medication where the chemist is no longer able to do this, phone buddies who will call you for a chat over a cuppa on the phone. For those grieving, worried about the future, asking the big life questions or thinking about spiritual issues we can link you up with our local faith communities who are happy to explore these with you. We can also sign post to other services who are still open / available.

Four Parishes Response Hub is open 7 days per week, 10am to 6pm. We can be contacted by telephone on 01883 347230 during these hours (we work remotely where possible to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19). The Hub covers the Caterham Hill and Caterham Valley Parishes, Chaldon and Whyteleafe Village Council areas.
We still need more volunteers as demand increases and current volunteers go into isolation. If you are able to volunteer please get in touch on 01883 347230 or via TVA COVID-19 response page. For those working on their own to support the vulnerable a DBS check is required (we can process this if you do not already have one) as part of the volunteer recruitment process.
As you a local business open and still there for people – plumbers, takeaways, vets, etc. As more people contact us for help we need to keep our contact lists up to date to sign post people on.
