WFC SENIOR TEAMS ON WINNING STREAK

Whyteleafe Football Club is looking to secure a place in this season’s Isthmian League South East Division play-off places after a recent run of impressive results.

As The Independent went to press, the club was in fourth place and also into the second round of the Surrey Senior Cup.

To see if they can keep up the push for promotion come to one of this month’s home matches at Church Road, Whyteleafe, on February 1st v Cray Valley PM, February 15th v Faversham Town, and February 22nd v Ramsgate. Kick-off at 3pm.
You could even see all of them for free as one of the club’s match day volunteers. The club relies heavily on the help and support of the local community and is looking to strengthen its team of stewards to help on match days and maintain the ground. The club is also looking for a new 1st team secretary for next season.

Also playing with some consistency is the Whyteleafe Ladies team who are third in the Greater London Women’s Football League Premier Division and through to the semi-finals of the League Cup.

The club is the area’s leading community football club and has more than 20 junior teams training and playing at the Church Road ground. It also runs school holiday soccer camps for children 6-12 years old and places on the half term camp from February 17 to 20 are still available. £60 for the week or £20 a day (9am-3pm).

Youngsters can also enjoy training and playing every weekend at the club’s Saturday morning soccer school from 9am. Just turn up to play.
