Local Heroes Awards 2020 are open for nominations!
Tandridge Voluntary Action is inviting nominations of volunteers in Tandridge, celebrating their wonderful contributions and promoting local charities and volunteering.
Please help us to say a huge ‘thank you’ to those Local Heroes who are creating a positive impact in the many good causes in Tandridge, giving their time and energy for free.
These volunteers are making an amazing difference; we want to recognise their dedication!
Award categories – for up to 10 years volunteering service; a Lifetime Award for an individual who has made a positive contribution over many years; for a Young Volunteer (16 to 25 years old); for a Team Award; Tandridge District Council’s Chairman’s Award for an ‘Invisible Hero’ for someone who gets things done quietly ‘behind the scenes’; and the Mike Moss Community Award – for individuals who make a difference in their community, nominated by the community.
This is a great opportunity to raise the profile of the charity and voluntary sector in the area and to encourage others to consider volunteering. There is a volunteering opportunity for everyone!
Nomination forms are available in Tandridge Libraries, or from the District Council offices, Oxted.
Closing date for nominations is 28 February 2020.
Trophies for the winning Local Heroes will be presented at the Tandridge District Council Chairman’s Civic Dinner on Friday 3 April. Each winner may bring a guest to the dinner.
