December once again saw the Cedar Tree lights being switched on. Mulled wine and mince pies were served to start the festivity followed by the local community gathering underneath the tree to sing carols.
Sunnydown school were represented by their very own burger van selling burgers, hot dogs and Christmas goodies made by the students. All money raised will be invested into the school based projects to improve the quality of the grounds. The burger van is available for hire for local events by contacting the school office. Mr Paul Jensen, Headteacher, explained that they will be excited to serve their locally sourced burgers in brioche buns with halloumi at the event again next year.
