In 2020, the first Caterham Memory Christmas Tree was lit up on Westway Common, in remembrance of local councillor John Orrick.
Local residents were invited, for a small donation, to add a bauble holding a personal dedication to a loved one to the tree. It was a hugely popular event in the Caterham calendar and, three years later, is a much-loved community tradition.
The baubles are double-sided, and so can include text and photos. They can be ordered online until Friday, 15 December, and the money raised will enable the Westway Centre to provide Christmas meals to families in need. The baubles will be hung on the tree on Christmas Eve, and returned to the buyer in early January.
