On Saturday, 12 August, the residents of Elizabeth Court Care Home in Caterham, along with their families, were thrown a garden party. Sonia Hunt, Caterham’s long-standing town crier, opened the event alongside home manager Rimi Sidhu and resident Len. Everybody was able to enjoy a barbecue lunch, with cakes and treats supplied by Janette Ralph from Tesco.

Fiona’s Farm Therapy, which is based in Chaldon, also visited and was a huge hit, with both residents and children spending time petting the animals. The afternoon raised £375 for Elizabeth Court’s residents’ welfare fund.
