The Cumberland Hotel in Eastbourne was the venue for our July meeting, and what a day we had. Two minibuses were supplied (at an amazing discount) by Practical Car Hire, and our fantastic volunteer drivers Neil and Steve collected our members and headed down to the sea!

On arrival at the hotel we were given our own super area, which overlooked the bandstand and the sea. We were free to come and go as we wished, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided a fantastic buffet lunch with tea and coffee all day.

Some of our members met family and friends who they had not seen for many years and had a lovely time catching up with them.
After lunch, members headed out to spend time in lovely Eastbourne, some heading to the pier and a couple even going in for a paddle! Fortunately we were able to acquire two wheelchairs, which allowed us to take members along the promenade.

Sadly, all good things come to an end but when it was time to head come we could not leave without a short stop for ice cream!
Everyone had a fantastic day and it was made possible due to an anonymous donation: you know who you are and THANK YOU so much.
