On Thursday, 24 November, the Revd Trevor Mapstone presented St Mary's book of condolence, following the death of Her Majesty the Queen, to Peter Connolly, the curator of East Surrey Museum, for inclusion in the museum's collection.
The book was available in St Mary's, for people to record their thoughts and prayers, for 10 days following Her Majesty's passing.
Peter said:
"East Surrey Museum is delighted to receive the book into its care. As custodian of the history of the area, it will be an important addition to the museum's collection. For future generations, it will provide a unique insight into how much Her Majesty meant to local people, as for many of them, she was the only monarch of their lifetime."
