Ex-Tandridge Independent columnist dusts off her dancing shoes

Rockin' Renée!

During lockdown, ex-Tandridge Independent gardening columnist Renée Canter ran Friday night discos on Zoom for her friends and family. While she set it up originally in order to have some fun during a difficult time, she says it wasn’t just about the dancing, but about connecting with those she loves.

In February 2023, Renée will be dusting off her dancing shoes to raise money for a Redhill charity which is also all about connnection:

“I worked for Us in a Bus for seven years: they support people who have profound learning difficulties, and who find it hard to communicate with others. The work Us in a Bus does is life-changing and I want to help them continue it.”

Renée will be completing a 24-hour dance-a-thon, with the final few hours turning into a ticketed disco event that supporters can attend. Buy tickets here, and donate at justgiving.com/fundraising/discorenee
