New YouTube channel launched for Ukrainian children

If you are currently hosting a family from Ukraine with young children, you might be interested to know about a new YouTube channel which launched on Friday, 1 July.

Sunflower TV is a not-for-profit venture and will feature British children’s television programmes, dubbed into Ukrainian for youngsters displaced by the war, as well as those still in their home country.

Approximately 50 episodes, including Thomas & Friends, Peppa Pig, Go Jetters, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, and Mr Bean: The Animated Series, are on offer at the moment, alongside some from Ukrainian producers. Others, plus programmes aimed at older children, will be added at a later date.

The channel is the result of a collaboration between a range of production companies, content creators, broadcasters and distributors, co-ordinated by Pact, the UK screen sector trade body.
