Caterham Cougars Lacrosse Club makes new senior appointments

Caterham Cougars Lacrosse Club can announce the return of Georgia Tuckett to the club as the new head coach. Tuckett played at the Cougars from the age of 10 and went on to play for both Caterham School and Exeter University as a strong and organised defender.

During this period she was also selected to play for England U19s over two seasons, playing in Home International championships and touring both the USA and Canada.

Club chairman Lee Lomas commented:

“We are delighted that Georgia has accepted our approach to become head coach. The club is blessed with some outstanding players and being able to add Georgia’s defensive steel and organisation will enhance our teams.”

At the same time, the club has also awarded the position of club captain to goalkeeper Ellie Shipsey, for the 2022/23 season.

“Ellie is an outstanding goalkeeper and was recently rewarded with a call-up to the England Junior Squad for the Home Internationals. She is a popular figurehead within the club and the ideal captain to work with our new head coach.”

Caterham Cougars Lacrosse Club is based at Hill Fields and offers training and matches on Sundays from August. Enquiries to club@catslax.co.uk.
