The Village Beauty Spa on Chaldon Road, Caterham, is marking 20 years in business this month.
Marie Watmore, spa owner and manager, has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years and has developed her business into a unique high-end salon, offering bespoke services to both its new and regularly returning clientele. Although she faced difficult times during the pandemic when the spa’s doors were forced to close, Marie was grateful that her customers’ continued loyalty and support saw her through:
“Clients purchased gift vouchers throughout the lockdowns, which helped keep us going. In return, my team and I stayed in touch with them by recording videos and doing live posts on social media about skin care.”
The spa offers a range of face and body treatments, including peels, skin needling, dermoplaning, waxing, electrolysis and non surgical facelifts. More recently, Marie has introduced Profhilo, a treatment which improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance, and the Thalgo range.
Thalgo’s treatments are inspired by the sea’s energy. They take their recipient on a relaxing and revitalising journey, with massages, scrubs and facials using products made from natural ingredients, and personalised for their skin type.
Maria is looking forward to marking the spa’s milestone anniversary:
"The salon has aged and developed with me over the years, so I am keen to commemorate where we are now, compared to when we were first established in 2002. I would like to invite our customers to come along and celebrate with us by meeting our therapists and having a complementary mini-facial, as well as enjoying some canapes and bubbles. You’ll also be able to take away one of our fabulous goody bags!”
