Since the start of the pandemic, the aim of Caterham’s The Little Telegraph Pole Gallery has been to bring a smile to the faces of those passing by, and hopefully make their day a little brighter. Due to chronic illness, I was unable to volunteer, so this was my contribution to our community.
It has also raised money for Caterham Foodbank, the Salvation Army and The Westway Centre, who are best placed to see the local families and individuals in need of support. Over the last (almost) two years, approximately £500 has been donated by followers of the Little Telegraph Pole Gallery.
I draw and paint all the canvases for each display, which normally stays in place for six weeks: the next theme is the emergency services. Find out more by following the Gallery on Facebook.
