Hever Proms celebrate the Platinum Jubilee

Part of Hever Festival Theatre’s summer programme, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration (First Night) of the Hever Festival Proms! is taking place in the Two Sisters' Theatre at Hever Castle on Saturday, 4 June.

Classical group the Guildhall Strings will be performing music composed by a whole host of British composers, including Elgar, Holst and Henry VIII, as well as part of William Walton’s score from the 1944 film Henry V, and a new work entitled Majesty.

To add to the fun, the audience is invited to join the Jubilee party by bringing a picnic fit for a queen, with the best one winning tickets to an event later in the season! A special (royal) guest will be on hand to judge the competition – will it be your picnic they pick?

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration (First Night) of the Hever Festival Proms! promises to be a memorable evening, and offers a great opportunity to share this special occasion with family and friends.

The performance starts at 20:00, with picnicing available from 18:30.
