tastelife

Tastelife is a University of Brighton Health Sciences accredited course for people with eating disorders, such as anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating, as well as their carers, friends and family. It is run by trained volunteers, many who have personal experience of eating disorders. Over eight sessions, they use motivational and interactive methods to help groups of up to 16 people, supporting them in a non-threatening and educational way, and encouraging a self-help approach.

Tastelife is suitable for ages 14+, with under-18s needing to be accompanied by an adult. The course, including all resources, is free, but participants are asked to donate £5 per session if possible, to help the charity cover costs.

The next local tastelife course starts in Caterham on Thursday, 21 April 2022. For venue and pre-course information please contact: Sara Windsor/Rebecca Ward at caterham@tastelifeuk.org. Medical details: rosalind.simpson@nhs.net.
