Tandridge resident Kat Henry recently won the title of Ms Great Britain, at the 76th Miss Great Britain Pageant, held at the Athena Hotel in Leicester. The show was organised by Leicester-based company Kreative Events. SHEIN was appointed the official fashion-wear partner, with an autumn/winter shoot currently being planned for the winners.
Kat was sponsored, for the second time, by Caterham's community radio station, Ridge Radio, where she also presents a show on Tuesday mornings. Kat is also a full-time Zumba fitness instructor, and plus-size model, and she is now the first plus-size winner of the title.
National director for the event, Kate Solomons, created the extra categories of Ms Great Britain, allowing women over the age of 28 to enter the competition, and Ms Great Britain Classic, which is open to those of 40 years and over.
This means women of all ages can now apply to the competition, regardless of marital status or whether they have had children. 60 finalists were selected for the three categories.
We would like to congratulate Kat and wish her further success in her pageant career!
