On Friday 30 July, East Surrey Museum held its AGM, followed by a celebration for its 40th birthday, at Soper Hall in Caterham.
Chairman of East Surrey Museum, Rod Stead, closed the AGM by raising a toast to the future of the museum.
The following party was attended by many of the museum's supporters, as well as some previous volunteers who were keen to reminisce. The cake was provided by Waitrose, in Caterham, and museum curator Peter Connolly had the honour of cutting it.
