After nine years of preparation Tandridge residents will have the opportunity to vote for The Caterham, Chaldon and Whyteleafe Neighbourhood Plan. The Neighbourhood Plan on the 6th May 2021. Alongside the Local Elections there will be the opportunity to vote which will in turn give residents the opportunity to create a future for the community, character and local area.
The Localism Act of 2011 allows communities to have a voice where they live. The Plan plays an integral role in creating the local character which in turn protects the neighbourhood ranging from preserving, protecting and enhancing green spaces and supporting the development of infrastructure through to protecting the loss of community facilities.
The Community have helped to create The Plan with their ideas. Last year the Tandridge District Council approved the Plan subject to a referendum this year. You can vote in person on the 6th May or submit a postal or proxy vote.
