Liam Scott – update Feb 21

We have been following the journey of Liam Scott, 5, whose family and friends – including Caterham schoolboy Josh Baker – raised money to send him to New York in September 2020 for potentially life-saving cancer treatment. He returned to the UK in November, after the fourth in a series of vaccines he is receiving that could prevent his neuroblastoma from returning.
We contacted Liam’s mum, Claire, for an update:

“Liam recently had a scan and it was clear – we are so thankful and blessed beyond belief. He had a wonderful Christmas and was able to start school on 7 December, which he loved. He stood by the door to greet all his classmates as they arrived!”

Liam will return to the US in February for his fifth vaccine. In the meantime, the family are helping raise funds and awareness for other children who need similar treatment, including taking part in the #pushupchallenge2021 on social media.

Claire is hopeful for the next stage in Liam’s treatment:
“He is a fighter and he continues to show us what strength and determination means.”
